Yesterday my friends Ali, Dani, Charlotte and I headed on over to Chessington World of Adventures for an awesome day out, filled with lots of screaming and giggling in equal measure. The highlight of the day (for me at least) was seeing these gorgeous flamingos at the Zufari. The Zufari, a new ride they've introduced for 2013, takes you on a mini-safari around the griaffes, sitatungas, rhinos and zebras. Anything involving animals is always my favourite, so I was in my element. However, there is a hidden twist which I won't reveal for those of you who may end up going in the near future.
I did have my camera on me but I didn't end up taking any photos, but I did find some brilliant POV videos on YouTube of the Vampire so you can see the kind of experience we all had, which was a little terrifying considering that at one point my harness was so stiff that it wasn't closing properly. I had a brief moment of fear wondering whether or not I was going to end up in my very own Final Destination moment halfway around the circuit! Luckily I was strapped in nice and tight thanks to the attendants and I lived to tell the tale!
I wish you could hear all the screaming there was. It's so much fun!
However, I won't be hopping on the Black Buccaneer again any time soon - this one went so high and we were only sat in the second row! I must be losing my bravery and edge. It was the first time I've ever had to close my eyes on a pirate ship ride. Not good.
This week I've been spending so much time in the garden listening to music. I will miss it once uni starts up again, the freedom is brilliant and my current favourite song of the moment is Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan - an oldie but a goodie.
This lovely sunset last week reminded me of Summer's spent reading in the garden all day and enjoying the hot weather.
I also found these two little beauties on a flower at Woburn Safari Park last week - there were hundreds of butterflies and a large hornet which I gave a very wide berth to, but these two were happy enough to sit and soak up the sun.
Hope you're all having a lovely week!
